Comments
The two Giant Danios I added to my tank recently have been going nuts. After about a day, they finally calmed down a bit but this fish definitely loves to swim…fast! I am planning to eventually upgrade from my 20 Gallon tank to a 45-55 Gallon tank and when I do I will most probably move my Danios into the larger tank to give them some swimming room.
If you’re looking for a hearty fish for a starter aquarium and you’ve got at least a 20 Gallon tank, you might want to consider getting Danios. However, if you prefer a more peaceful tank where the fish swim around slowly and calmly, the Giant Danio is probably not going to be your best bet. They aren’t bullies or anything like that, but they do like to swim around fast and that can disrupt your tank atmosphere if the rest of your fish are slow, calm fish.
